At Sniff and Wiggles, we want your dog's first experience with us to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible. To ensure we can give each new pup the attention they need, we limit the number of orientations each day.
On the morning of your dog's Orientation Day, a trained staff member will greet you and your pup, review your application, and ask a few additional questions to better understand your dog's personality, preferences, and play style. This introduction helps your dog begin to feel at ease in their new environment.
Once you leave, our staff will first bring your dog into a smaller, quiet area for one-on-one time to help them feel safe and at ease. When your pup seems comfortable, we will gently introduce a friendly, well-socialized dog, at which time we will observe their interaction. If your dog responds with relaxed, positive body language, we will gradually add more playmates to the mix—always at your dog's pace.
Throughout the day, our staff carefully monitors your dog's comfort, body language, and social interactions to ensure they are enjoying their time and adjusting well to the new environment.
Your first step is to create an account on the Paw Partner website. This will allow us to set up a profile for both you and your dog, making it easier to manage reservations, share important details, and ensure a smooth experience from the very beginning.
Rest assured that creating an account on Paw Partner is quick, easy, and takes just a few minutes—so you and your pup can start the fun in no time!
On the day of your dog's first visit, both you and your pup will come to Sniff & Wiggles. A dedicated staff member will meet with you one-on-one to answer any questions you may have and learn more about your dog's personality and needs.
Next, your dog will be gently introduced to our environment by spending time one-on-one with the staff in a separate area where they can safely observe other dogs from a distance. This helps them become familiar with the sights, sounds, and scents of the play area at their own pace.
When the staff member feels your dog is ready, they will carefully introduce one other dog, allowing for slow and supervised interaction. Once your dog is comfortable, additional dogs will be introduced gradually. Throughout the process, the same staff member will stay close by, observing body language and ensuring every interaction is safe and positive.
Your dog will then be placed into a compatible playgroup—or "pack"... where they can begin to enjoy the full daycare experience in a setting that suits their comfort level and temperament.
When you return to pick up your pup, we will share a personalized report card highlighting how their first day went—who they met, how they played, and any fun moments along the way. We will also take time to answer any questions you may have.
Do not be surprised if your dog is extra sleepy that evening (and maybe even the next day). All that excitement, play, and sniffing can be quite the workout! A tired pup is a happy pup, and it means they had a tail-wagging good time.
As soon as your pup has completed their orientation and our team sees that they are comfortable and ready, they can start attending Doggie Daycare right away—sometimes even the very next day! We take our cues from your dog's body language to make sure they feel safe, happy, and excited to come back and play with their new friends. Tail wags are our green light!
Scheduling your pup's first stay is easy with Paw Partner! Once you have created your account and completed your profile (including your dog's details), just log in, select Sniff & Wiggles as your facility, and choose the "Request Reservation" option. From there, pick the service (like daycare or boarding), select your preferred date, and submit your request.
We will review it on our end and confirm everything for you—tail wags incoming!
Orientation helps us create a safe and enjoyable experience for all dogs at Sniff and Wiggles. By observing your dog's behavior and comfort level, we can place them in the most suitable playgroup—helping to prevent stress and ensuring they have a fun and positive experience.
We limit our orientations to only three per day so that each new dog receives the individual attention they deserve. This patient, step-by-step approach allows your pup to become familiar with our staff and other campers at a comfortable pace. Our goal is to make sure every dog feels relaxed, safe, and excited to come back for more tail-wagging fun!
